Eduard Koksharov - head coach of Meshkov Brest

Eduard Koksharov had an outstanding playing career and won almost all major handball trophies with the Russian team: gold (2000) and bronze (2004) of the Olympic Games, gold (1997) and silver (1999) of the World Championship, silver (2000) of the European Championship. At the club level he won the Champions League (2004) with Celje. Also Koksharov collected many individual awards. He was recognized as the best left winger in top tournaments six times and was the top scorer of the 2001 World Cup. Eduard is the only one player who has scored more than a thousand goals for the Russian national team.

Eduard began his coaching career in his native Krasnodar SKIF. In 2016, he moved to North Macedonia, where for a long time he served as the sports director of Vardar. During his work in the Macedonian club, the Vardar men's team won the Champions League twice, won four national champion titles and won the Cup three times. Women's - reached the final of the Champions League twice and won the championship and the Macedonian Cup the same number of times. In the period from 2017 to 2020, Koksharov combined his activities in Skopje with the position of head coach of the Russian men's team.

In July 2022, Eduard headed the women's Rostov-Don, which he left in February 2023 by agreement of the parties.
