MESHKOV BREST

Today, the EHF has published the full list of participants in the Champions League 2020/21.

Ten clubs entered the list of participants due to the EHF rating. These are the champions of nine countries and the silver medalist of the German championship: Zagreb (Croatia), Aalborg (Denmark), Barcelona (Spain), PSG (France), Kiel (Germany), Flensburg (Germany), Veszprem (Hungary), Vardar (Skopje , Macedonia), Vive Kielce (Poland), Porto (Portugal).

The remaining six vacancies were claimed by fourteen applicants. As a result, a special EGF commission based on several criteria (geography, marketing and digital, television, audience interest, previous results) provided a “wild card” to the following teams: Meshkov Brest (Belarus), Pick (Szeged, Hungary), Elverum (Norway), Nantes (France), Celje (Slovenia), Motor (Zaporizhia, Ukraine).

Dynamo (Bucharest, Romania) and Wisla (Plock, Poland) remained in reserve for force majeure.

Thus, our club will play for the seventh year in a row in the main round of the Champions League.

The group stage draw is scheduled for July 1.
